[vc_row][vc_column el_class=”m-order2″ offset=”vc_col-md-8 vc_col-xs-12″][vc_column_text]The event, hosted by VNU Scientist Links, is part of Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design 2020 – a series of events and activities aiming to inform, educate and build connections – organised by RMIT University Vietnam, in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), COLAB Vietnam, and other partners. Taking place from 7 to 22 Nov 2020 in Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, the Festival celebrates the creative works of individuals and organisations, as well as Vietnam’s culture.\r\n\r\nAbout the event\r\nThe seminar, hosted by VNU Scientist Links, discusses Vietnam’s cultural economy and brings to the table perspectives of experts working in and outside of Vietnam National University (VNU). Aiming to bring about the visualisation of the cultural economy dynamics in Vietnam in relation to that of other countries in the region and around the world, the event sets find out the industry’s challenges and opportunities in Vietnam. With guest speakers include experts from various fields such as culture, economics, technology and cultural practitioners, the seminar will discuss opportunities to integrate cultural, economic and technical knowledge and other factors to increase the value of Vietnamese cultural products, and the start-ups that based on them.\r\n\r\nSpeakers:<\/strong>\r\n– Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, Head of Cultural Department, UNESCO Office in Hanoi\r\n– Film Director Nguyen Hoang Diep, OKIA Cinema.\r\n– Dr. Ngo Tu Lap, Director of the International Francophone Institute (IFI), Vietnam National University – Hanoi\r\n– Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Tu, Head of the Department of Science, Technology & International Relations, University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University – Hanoi\r\n– Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Dean of Finance and Banking Faculty, University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University – Hanoi\r\n– Dr. Lu Thi Thanh Le, Lecturer at Vietnam-Japan University.
