The submission deadline is by 11:59 PM on 18 July 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmit.edu.vn\/news\/all-news\/2020\/oct\/vietnam-festival-of-creativity-and-design-will-return-bigger-and-better\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vietnam Festival of Creativity &amp; Design (VFCD)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> now in its third year, is organised by RMIT University in Vietnam, in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Vietnam National Institute of Culture &amp; Arts Studies (VICAS) and COLAB Vietnam. The festival combines inspirational, informative events and diverse creative experiences, open to anyone interested in, and passionate about, creativity and design.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the Festival, <\/span><b>VFCD Graphic Design Contest 2021: Key Visual &amp; Creative Merchandise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is initiated and a theme-based contest that challenges young participants to define and express a strong presence for VFCD 2021 under the theme <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creative Future: How the cultural and creative industries enhance the social and economic development of Vietnam and promote the smart development of Vietnam\u2019s major cities.<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to RMIT Dean of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmit.edu.vn\/about-us\/schools-and-centres\/school-communication-design\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">School of Communication &amp; Design<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Professor Julia Gaimster, the contest is looking for creative and innovative designs which can promote Vietnam\u2019s identity and culture and can be easily adapted to various media platforms or materials.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe creative and cultural industries play a key role in the socio-economic development of Vietnam and in order to compete on the world stage, the country needs to nurture and showcase creative talents,\u201d Professor Gaimster added. \u201cWe want to assist Vietnam with our initiative to place a focus on young talents.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contest is open to students, creative practitioners and those who express their interests in Vietnamese culture and creativity aged 18 to 30.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contest allows participants to submit their designs as individuals or groups of maximum three members.
